Family Doctor Group strives to provide the best clinical service at affordable prices and we engage with leading laboratories, reputable medical institutions and use expert doctors and practitioners in our care. Therefore missed appointments or delayed payments impact our ability to provide such a service for the future. 

Consultation Fees

The Family Doctor Group is a private healthcare provider. All our appointments are subject to a payment. The fee for each consultation type is available online on our website and once again at the time of booking. If you have any queries please contact us via email, whatsapp or telephone prior to booking. 

Please note that this consultation fee is not refundable if you fail to attend your appointment without giving 24 hours notice. The consultation fee is non refundable if you disagree with the consultation outcome or if the doctor is running late to your appointment. 

If there are unforeseen circumstances and the clinic is running over 30 minutes late or we have to reschedule your consultation, we will of course offer a full refund and the consultation can be cancelled. 

Cancellation, failure to arrive for appointments and late arrival

Please note for all patients a £50 administration fee will be charged if you have cancelled / rescheduled any appointments less than 24 hours prior to the appointment time. If the appointment is booked as an urgent same day appointment we offer a one hour grace period to reschedule or cancel if more than 2 hours prior to the appointment start time. 

Late arrival to your appointment may result in reduced treatment time or the forfeiting of the appointment. We will endeavour to ensure that your appointment runs to time; however, for reasons beyond our control, we may need to cancel or postpone your appointment at short notice. In this unlikely event, we will make every effort to contact you in advance. We do not offer compensation if we cancel your appointment but will refund the consultation fee. 

If a genuine provable reason prevents you from attending at the last minute, your default fee may be refunded at the discretion of management.

Please note that cancellations can be done via email or whatsapp messaging as well as calling our team during working hours. If the cancellation is outside of normal working hours please await a confirmation message to ensure the cancellation has been noted. 

Attending for an adult or child diagnostic test but declining to have the tests done during the appointment will be subject to an administration fee of £75-150 depending on the diagnostic test booked. 

Refund Policy

Refunds following a consultation are not permitted.

Refunds will be provided where required in accordance with the UK Consumer Law.

Delayed Payment

Payment for all consultations and investigations is due on the day of the appointment. If there is a payment delay of over 10 days a £50 administration fee will be added. Delays over 30 days will result in a £150 administration fee. 

Insured patients

We welcome insured patients. Please be advised that is an appointment is paid in full as self pay and then a request made to switch it to an insured appointment there will be a £20 administration fee.

Most insurance companies have an excess that will need to be paid within 10 days of your appointment.

Appointment cancellations with under 24 hours notice will be subject to a £100 administration fee. 

Attending for an adult or child’s diagnostic test but declining to have the tests done during the appointment will be subject to an administration fee of £150 depending on the diagnostic test booked. 

Memberships 

 

We have multiple membership options as individuals and families. There is more information on our website or you can ask for clarification with your reception staff. 

Memberships are paid on the first of every month and are rolling contracts. You are eligible for the complementary health check with a 12 month contract. You can opt to have your health check at any time during your membership but you will be subject to completing 12 months on the membership programme. 

Bespoke and cancer memberships will have specific stipulations, please review your signed form. 



Vaccinations & administered medication

If you request a vaccination or a medication which needs to be administered by a healthcare professional such as an injection then you will be liable to pay the cost of the medication immediately on confirming the appointment.

We aim to provide a friction free, quick and reliable service and therefore order equipment, medication and vaccinations immediately upon request to avoid any delays to our patients. Once these orders are requested they can not be cancelled. If you choose to cancel the appointment you will be liable for the cost of the medication only and if the cancellation was given with over 24 hours notice then your appointment fee will be refunded.
